Pretty Green and Umbro have come together, collaborating an ode to vintage ‘90s sportswear infused with a healthy dose of rock'n'roll. The collaborations draw on the influences and heritage of the two brands rooted in British culture. Music and football remain at the heart of British culture and this inaugural collaboration from Pretty Green and Umbro symbolises the nations love for both.

Umbro have been kitting out footballers since the 20s and are celebrating their 95th anniversary this year. Since launching in 1924, the brand has been a thread running through some of the most memorable moments in recent football and sporting history. However it isn’t well known that the company, which has produced clothing and footwear for some of the world's biggest sporting stars, came from humble beginnings in Manchester. Where it is still based today, with global headquarters in the Northern Quarter.

So it is not a surprise that Manchester born Oasis’s Liam Gallagher was a fan of the sports brand. Lifetime City fans, the Gallaghers made Maine Road their first stadium gig, where Liam donned the famous Umbro Drill Top! An iconic moment for Oasis and City fans alike.

Since the birth of rock 'n' roll in the late 1950s, British street culture has been influencing fashion and music worldwide. Liam Gallagher, one of the most iconic frontmen in music, launched his own clothing band in 2009- Pretty green.
