From 1941, Caterpillar machinery was a right-hand partner for the US Navy Seabees, the construction battalion, famous for their ability to build anything, anywhere. That spirit powers our collaboration with cult British designer Nigel Cabourn. A shared passion for durability, function and everyday utility. And a respect for provenance. With almost a hundred years of construction and workwear heritage, we have a story to tell.

“CAN DO!”

It was the Caterpillar Inc. wartime role that fuels this collaboration. Caterpillar Crawler tractors were a trusted companion for the US Navy Seabees, known for some of the toughest construction jobs in history. The Seabees pride themselves on being able to take on any challenge – all while protecting themselves and those around them.

Then, as now, we embrace the Seabees “Can Do” motto. Our Crawlers moved and towed across extreme terrains. From Pacific islands to sub-zero tundra, Caterpillar machinery hauled supplies, opened trails and built bases. They were made to get the job done.
