Parajumpers

One of the newest brands to arrive at Xile are premium Italian outerwear specialists Parajumpers. Effortlessly blending function and style the brand have quickly grown to become one of the most revered labels in technical outerwear.

Founded in 2006 Parajumpers was the brainchild of Italian designer Massimo Rossetti who has a history of creating bold outerwear along with being involved in the importation of American fashion to the Italian market. After a chance meeting with a member of the 210th Rescue Squadron in Alaska Rossetti was inspired to create the first Parajumpers range. The 210th Rescue Squadron are one of the most highly trained military units in the world and have a reputation for undertaking some of the most technically challenging and dangerous rescues in some of the most hostile corners of the globe.

The Parajumpers range takes inspiration from the work of the 210th Squadron and provides subtle nods for this inspiration throughout the design. Constructed from a high quality and hard-wearing nylon the jackets in this collection come with a removable down-padded lining alongside a fur trimmed hood. Paying homage to the original inspiration for PJ the jackets feature a collar fastening which uses a hook similar to those used in parachuting.

In the past 12 years the range has grown to include a selection of lighter weight jackets and Gilet styles. The first jacket produced by Parajumpers, The Gobi, has become a staple of the collection and has arrived in Xile for Autumn Winter ‘18 in two colourways. Parajumpers strongly support social responsibility and sustainability in the apparel business.
