Farah Autumn Winter ‘18

Inspired by Creation Records

Iconic menswear brand Farah have returned to Xile for Autumn Winter ‘18 with one of the brands boldest collections to date. The latest release from the heritage label takes inspiration from iconic independent music label Creation Records. Founded in 1983 the label became the home for some of the biggest names in contemporary music including Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain and later Oasis.

The label was known for its DIY approach to releases allowing the artists involved to ensure their sound reached the audience just as it was intended without diluting the music. The new Farah collection retains this DIY ethic and is also heavily inspired by the fashion of the time including Parkas, Knits and Corduroy alongside checked and striped detailing all reimagined for the modern wardrobe.

The graphic prints take their inspiration from the cut and paste attitude of the fanzine, a handmade poster or flyer created by collaged magazine clippings and typewriter text which inspired this season’s Farah Camo print. The Butcher jacket is a standout from the latest release and showcases this all-over camouflaged design creating the perfect Winter upgrade.
